Software developer LSoft Technologies has several applications that specialize in securely deleting data. One such application is Active@ Eraser, an application that we’ve covered here on FindMySoft. We found it to be quite easy to use, efficient, and fast at securely deleting data on a physical drive or logical partitions. We liked that application so much, that we decided to take a look at another LSoft Technologies-developed application.

This time we shifted our focus on Active@ Kill Disk. Just like its sibling, this application also specializes in securely deleting data – it just does it at a bigger scale. Active@ Kill Disk securely deletes entire partitions, or the entire hard drive.

Installation - Active@ Kill Disk can be installed on any version of the Microsoft-developed Windows operating system. Installing Active@ Kill Disk is a simple enough process that completes in little time.
Limitations – the free version features just one security standard to securely delete data (erases with one-pass zeros).
